DAYAN Project at EACME 2026!
🎉 DAYAN Project at EACME 2026!
As the DAYAN Project Group, we are excited to participate in this year’s 40th anniversary European Association of Centres of Medical Ethics (EACME) Annual Conference! 🌍
At the conference to be held in Leuven (Belgium) on 24–26 September 2026, we will share our study titled "Moral Injury and Moral Agency among Healthcare Workers after the 2023 Türkiye Earthquakes: A Grounded Theory Analysis" with the international scientific community.
In this presentation, we will have the opportunity to discuss with the international academic community the comprehensive findings obtained through grounded theory analysis of the in-depth interviews we have conducted within the DAYAN Project. While our study addresses the moral injury experiences of healthcare workers who served after the February 6, 2023 earthquakes and the effects of these experiences on their moral subjectivity, it approaches moral injury not merely as an individual phenomenon, but as a shared experience of many professionals shaped by structural factors.
In EACME’s 40th year, we are delighted to represent the DAYAN Project on this important international scientific platform and look forward to sharing updates from the conference with you. 💙
